Basic Spanish in Action: Outdoor Learning Experience

This is a beginner-level course set in the vibrant environment of Tenerife. Designed for adults, this immersive program combines foundational Spanish lessons with practical outdoor activities to enhance language learning. This course provides a hands-on approach to learning Spanish, starting with the basics of pronunciation, vocabulary, and simple sentence structures.

This course provides a hands-on approach to learning Spanish. Participants will engage in real-world practice in local markets, cafes, and restaurants, applying their new skills in authentic contexts. Ideal for beginners, this course not only builds language proficiency but also offers a rich cultural experience.          

Learning objectives:

  • Master the Spanish alphabet, pronunciation, and basic phonetics.

  • Learn and confidently use common greetings, introductions, and simple sentence structures.

  • Develop vocabulary related to daily routines, family, common objects, shopping, and dining.

  • Improve listening skills through interaction in real-world settings.

  • Enhance speaking skills by practicing Spanish in authentic, everyday situations.

  • Build confidence in using Spanish for basic needs, such as ordering food and making purchases.

  • Cultivate cultural awareness by engaging with the local community on Tenerife.

Methods and tools:

  • integrating classroom instruction with outdoor activities on Tenerife, outdoor practice sessions, hands-on activities, such as identifying objects in their surroundings, practicing conversations in local markets and cafes, and navigating dining experiences in restaurants, Practical Exercises, Role-Plays and Simulations

It includes:

  • 20/40 hours of classes spread over 5/10 course days,

  • Learning Materials,

  • Optional Cultural Activities and Visits,

  • Participants’ Evaluation Feedback,

  • Certificate of Attendance and Europass mobility
